I walk out into my backyard. It is a sunny day and the wind is at rest. The flowers in my garden had started to dwindle. I knew it was time to start fresh. After I had raked the remaining roots, I took out my Mongolian seedlings. I dug into my Earth for the appropriate length. I then placed the seedlings in the dirt, one by one, until there was nothing left to plant. I cupped some soil into my hands and roofed the baby flowers. As I stroll into my house, I turn back one last time. I make a pact to myself: Everyday, I will water my plants until they flourish beautifully. This is an example of how my ideas for interior designing start; I plant the seed, and everyday I water it with more and more ideas until a new plant is born.rnI have had an interest in interior designing ever since ten years ago. I drove down to the library, one of my favorite places to think. I had just moved into a new house then. A nice woman directed me to “Interior Designs.” My goal was to look for books that would interest me for my own house and furniture. I grabbed a stack of books and sat down on a bench, for I knew I would be there for a while. As I rummaged through the pages, I looked for ideas, and none of them seemed to enchant me. Soon, I came across a page with lovely furniture. Then I glanced at the paint colors. In my opinion, the colors did not really “click.” Later, I started to incorporate ideas of my own with what the book had to offer. The results were astounding!rnIn a couple of hours, I had almost a hundred unique designs by me. I then rushed over to my house, an idea forming along the way. When I arrived, I had a plan. I was to take my combined ideas and turn it into reality. After I had put the last candle into place, I took a couple of steps back and admired my finished product. Not long after that, I invited my old neighbors over for tea. As they stepped into my newly furnished house, they stopped and glimpsed around. They were truly dumbfounded and did not know what to say. Finally, the woman spoke up, and told me that this was the most stunning house she have ever stepped foot in. My simple and exotic ideas made my décor look as if a professional had created them. It made me feel proud and believe that one little idea could turn into something truly amazing. rnThere are many different styles of interior decorating. One of my personal favorites is Spanish colors mixed with a Mediterranean feel. The reason for this is that I like friendly colors. I do not like colors that are too dark, because then the furniture looks dark as well. I also dislike bright, neon colors because it makes the room look as if a clown is living in it. My favorite color for a room is beige because if you want to add furniture, beige would look good with any color you choose. Moreover, it is a very warm color for any month of the year. Interior designing has always been a long life passion for me and it helps bring out the beauty of the real thing.
