The Universal Law Of Attraction requires one to focus and invite in the things you really want in your life. Meditation is one of the most important tools you can use to help keep focused on your desires, and goals. It also helps to empty your mind and to access the places of peace and joy that lie hidden between your thoughts. How do you learn to meditate? You simply begin to do it. There are a few very simple guidelines that when practiced faithfully will help you meditate more effectively. The first thing you need to do is set aside a time every day to do your meditation. Try to do it at the same time every day. Schedule your time when the house is empty, before children get up or after they go to bed. Meditation demands solitude. There can be no distractions or interruptions. The next step to effective meditation is setting aside a quiet place, and creating the right environment for your meditation. Pick a spot that is as secluded as possible. It should be comfortable-preferably a place where you can sit or lie down. Darken the room as much as possible. Some people like a lit candle to focus on when they meditate. Others like to fill the room with scents or light candles around the room for ambience to help them relax. Try different things until you find a setting that calms you and aids your concentration. Begin your meditation session with some light stretching exercises. Stretching loosens up muscles and tendons so you can sit or lie more comfortably. It also helps to bring your attention inward by focusing on your body. Decide how you want to meditate-sitting or lying down. When you are beginning it is important to try different positions and different approaches like closing your eyes, keeping eyes open, using a candle. Once you are in your meditation position, begin by focusing on your breath—inhaling and exhaling. Breathe slowly and deeply. See it enter your body from your feet. Observe it as it travels through your body, and out through your head. Try to visualize your breath. Feel the breath going in and out of your body. If you lose your concentration and focus, or your thoughts begin to wander don’t get frustrated. Just begin again. It is common to lose focus when you first begin meditating. The important thing is to simply return to meditating. Don’t get upset with yourself. Meditate for short periods of time when you begin. Five minutes is fine. You will begin to meditate for longer periods of time with practice. Always end your session with a minute of gratitude. Be grateful and thankful for the opportunity to make your mind focus, and finding moments of pure tranquility and joy. These quiet times will help you to apply the Universal Law of Attraction to work, as you focus on your goals for life.
