ID lanyards help hold the identity badges of participants in a conference, group meeting, school reunion, and employees. There a many options for identity lanyards. The lanyard itself comes in many varieties as does the ID badge. Often companies choose to use their company logo on the badge or the lanyard or both. Lanyards can be solid fabric ribbons or printed with company information. They can also have the information woven in the ribbon in a jacquard weave. Lanyards can be three-eighths wide, five-eighths wide, three-quarters wide and one inch wide. Lanyards can be made of one-eighth thick rope, cotton ribbon, polyester ribbon or five-eighths wide flat tubular polyester. Reflective lanyards are good protection for people who work or travel at night. They have a luminescent imprint which improves their visibility. Lanyards can be flexible with safety break-away buckles or with detachable buckles. These lanyards can be shortened easily before attaching to your ID. They also come with break-away detach buckles and adjustable sliders. Other lanyards automatically retract with coiled cords that expand and contract by themselves. A universal heavy duty expandable nylon coil cord comes with a 2 and one half inch plastic swivel snap hook on one end and a split ring on the other end. The coil cord also comes in a thinner coil cord. The lanyard could attach the ID badge to the lanyard with a metal split ring, a bull-dog clip, a swivel bull-dog clip, the swivel hook, a wide no-twist plastic hook or a narrow no-twist plastic hook. The split ring is the least likely to come undone when attached. The bull-dog clip can be snatched away with extreme effort, but generally the clip has a strong enough grip on your ID to feel that it is secure. The swivel hook has a lot of versatility, allowing you to shield your ID from onlookers if desired by swivelling the ID around to the back. The no-twist plastic hook keeps the ID displayed because it does not swivel. When ID must be displayed, the plastic hook guarantees that it is always facing outward for visibility. ID Lanyards provide a great deal of variety. The different materials used to make lanyards range from cotton ribbon to polyester ribbon. Nylon tubular ribbon is also used. This is a strong yet somewhat stretchable lanyard. They can be made of thin cords. Some are printed and others are made with a jacquard weave to show company logos and other information. Reflective lanyards keep people a little safer by being visible at night. Some lanyards make a social statement by representing causes like the pink lanyard which stands for the fight against cancer. There are lanyards which keep in mind the need to be free of dangling strings by being made from coiled cords which retract when not in use and expand when needed. Options for lanyards give wearers much needed versatility.
