Assorted activity; having a mix of movement in your menu of exercise creates an environment that is conducive to the body being kept on it’s toes and therefore being given the opportunity to produce the results that you are searching for. When combining and merging various modes of keep fit endeavors we challenge the body to deal with the unexpected and consequently reap the benefits.

Why not ponder how well your exercise schedule fits into the explanation of including a hodgepodge of movements? It is imperative that we cross train our bodies as we continue to keep fit, tone and sculpt, and reach toward a lighter, healthier self. Being diverse in your exercise selection:

~Wards off injury due to the range of different physical actions. ~Keeps you feeling inspired and excited to try new things. ~Enhances your motivation and willingness to continue on your healthy path. ~Opens up new doors with endless, exciting possibilities. ~Banishes the element of boredom from your physical fitness routine.

Here’s an easy way to set up your week and not feel overwhelmed at the thought of developing a sensible, varied plan with which to follow through.

~Choose at least three different exercise choices for your weekly schedule. ~Do not do the same activity two days in a row. ~Take advantage of the weather and when it permits take yourself outside.

I’m quite certain that we are all thoroughly aware of the definition of insanity provided by Albert Einstein- “doing the same thing in the same manner, expecting a different result.” If you find yourself reflecting upon your own workout schedule and coming up with the conclusion that perhaps you resemble the hamster on the spinning wheel, then it is time to change your actions if you want something different from your life.
