Nearly 5% of US citizens suffer from some sort of anxiety attacks and depression. People that get depressed tend to also have higher levels of anxiety and may also be afflicted by panic attacks. Often people with anxiety disorders never seek help because they are fearful of what could be happening. Symptoms of anxiety attacks often resemble symptoms of respiratory or heart conditions.

People that have both anxiety attacks and depression, but who are not diagnosed for both conditions, may continue to suffer until both are diagnosed and an effective treatment regimen is put into place. Depression can be a tough thing to catch, but when you do, you should really take ever action possible to put an end to it.

Common symptoms of depression include feeling boredom, sad, isolated, and even hopelessness or without love in your live. If you're depressed, you might be an insomniac or experience higher than average anxiety. You might have chronic panic or anxiety disorders if you experience this higher level of anxiety for a sustained time. If you have had several anxiety attacks, you might begin to think that going certain places or being around certain things triggers them and develop a phobia. If you couple this with depression, and the sad and hopeless though that there is no cure, then you will quickly find yourself in a very bad situation.

Medical experts are finding that panic attacks and depression occur together more that they initially thought. It is simple to understand why these two issues sometime coincide. These days, doctors often prescribe anti-depressants to help alleviate both anxiety conditions and depression.

A lot of people that suffer from depression don't even know that they have depression. If they then have a panic episode, they can find themselves extremely frightened. You might feel as though you are having a heart attack or on the verge of dying. With depression you might find that you are too afraid to find help. Having no idea what is happening, you can only fear the worst and your anxiety just goes higher.

Once a panic episode is over you might feel back to your old self again and think nothing of it until your next episode. If you find yourself suffering from anxiety episode in combination with depression, know you're not by yourself. It is easy to start feeling overwhelmed and begin fretting about nearly everything. You might even feel that your situation is hopeless and that any treatment wouldn't offer you any relief.

Treatment options for anxiety conditions and depression can be quite powerful though. You may need to use medications to get your anxiety and depression under control while you handle a few psychological conditions. With some effort and will power, you can begin to recover from panic attacks and depression.
