The Myth of a Recession Proof Business

This is an introductory article into a series of articles relating to recession proof business. To start off this is a myth. There is no such thing as a recession proof business. There are so many people focusing on the internet to find a home based or internet business that can help them survive. Most of these people have either lost their jobs, times are rough and they are trying to find an alte
ative to make a living.

There are actually two types of people who are searching for a recession proof business. The first type of person is essentially looking for that magic product or opportunity that will give them financial freedom. They want something that resembles their previous jobs where they can just join in, pay their dues and hopefully retire when the time is right. They want something to take care of them until they no longer need that care and can be independently retired.

The other type of person is looking for something much more than a recession proof business. They want an opportunity that will provide them with the skills, knowledge and mindset which will make them recession proof. There is no such thing as a recession proof business but you can be recession proof yourself.

Your goal should be to find an opportunity for a product or business venture that you are interested in and you want to get involved in. You do not need to find something that is going to be so unique and totally incredible that everyone in the world will want it. Instead your goal should be to acquire the skills, knowledge and mindset so that no matter what comes along you will be recession proof rather than having a recession proof business.

Things happen in life all the time, things that you will not be able to see or forecast. The recession proof person will be able to take the skills, knowledge and mindset and apply it to whatever the situation is. Whether there is a recession or the economy is good you will be able to take this and make something work because you have the skills and resources necessary to be recession proof. There is no need to put all your faith into a product or an opportunity to save you.
