There are large majority of businesses in the world today. The amount of businesses are increasing and they will continue to do so as time goes on. As you know countless businesses have websites to promote their business, to inform their customers about the business or whatever the reason may be, however it all concludes to one reason increasing the growth and successfulness of their business. So what exactly do you need to consider when planning your website?

1. Domain name

First of all you need a domain name. It can be hard to find a good domain name especially when so many have been taken already. Sometimes it can take weeks or even months to find the perfect domain name but there are a few tips you can follow to make this easier. Don’t get to fancy with it most of the time, simple domain names work the best. Make it unique though, make it stand out. Short domain names are decent because it’s easier to remember and type.

2. Loading Time

Having a fast website is essential and crucial part for staying alive in the modern world of web design. The loading time of a website is directly related to the demand made on the server to load the website. The more HTTP requests made to the server and the longer elements take to render, the slower a website will be.

Examples of HTTP requests are:

  • loading CSS style sheets;
  • loading scripts;
  • loading images;
  • loading HTML.

The size of individual files and images are another factor that plays into the load time of a website. Large, high resolution images can take 10x as long to load as normal images and unnecessarily large files can drastically slow down page rendering.

The goal of making a website fast is to make the website more efficient. We can do this through making a series of adjustments to the coding, images, and layout of our website.

3. Target Market

It’s crucial that you know your target market. Clarify which audience you are trying to draw in. Make sure your website can relate to your chosen target market. Your target market plays a big part in your website because it will affect your design theme and many more aspects of your website.

4. Aim of Your Website

Another important part of planning your website is knowing the aim of your website. It may be collecting leads, or you may be selling products in your websites or it’s an informative websites to notify your customers.

5. Layout

You need to discuss with your team about the layout of your website. Think about how to make it creative and stand out. When choosing the colors think about going for bright colors and avoid using dull and dark colors. This will attract your customers. When choosing your fonts make sure the front of you choice is easy to read, and when writing your information use keywords and key phrases. Don’t bore your customers with masses of text, use some pictures. The pictures tell a whole story for its self.

Using these tips you will be able to create a successful website, just make sure toalways think on how you can improve it because there’s always room for improvement.
