In every aspect a cloud PBX system outplays traditional phone systems, features, cost and reliability the latter just has no way of catching up with the newer cloud phones and to cement its position in the telecommunication world here are some things you can do with the system that you cannot with a traditional business phone solutions. Multiple locations – At this point in time only a cloud PBX system is able to integrate multiple offices together and locate any extension in any parts of the world. Basically the system could achieve this because it sits in the cloud and every component, features, plans and all are stored within the service provider’s network which is easily accessible via any internet connection thus phone extensions can be located anywhere. Custom programming – Typically a conventional business phone system has fixed features however a cloud PBX can be fully customized to suit your every need. This is achievable because of the open source programming platform that the technology runs through making it easy and cost effective to customize a solution for you unlike the competition that will require overhaul of expensive hardware. Continuous operation – In a traditional platform if one of the hardware give out or a system failure in the service provider’s end took place then there is no way that your phones will work which can spell disaster for any business due the possibility of lost sales. However with a cloud PBX your phones will continue to work despite internet disconnection, power outage and technical problems on the provider’s end. Your communication platform will continue to work greeting customers to your enterprise and transferring them to your voicemail or mobile depending on what you want. The system is able to achieve this kind reliability because there are no physical hardware involved and pretty much everything runs through the cloud making it more reliable than any other communication solution in the market today. Handhelds integration – The system will also allow you to integrate mobile phones, tablets and notebook to act as if it is another extension of your PBX. Simply by downloading an application you can convert these gadgets into a business grade extension using the device’s internet connectivity either via Wi-Fi or 3g services instead of just setting up a forwarding account that most traditional system does. Apart from the above mentioned there are a lot more things in terms of features and routing that the competition is far from doing or perhaps will never be able to achieve because of the platform that runs through.
