You might have long known soybeans. But did you know that soy is very good to your body? Soybeans were first discovered more than 3,000 years ago in China, and into America in the 1700s. Soybeans processed into a powder and used as supplements, processed foods, or beverages. Soy protein serves as a protein alternative to animal species, such as beef, pork, poultry, and eggs. If you want to reduce the consumption of meat, you can still benefit by eating soy protein. Even most vegetarians consume soy products like tofu and tempeh as a meat substitute. Soy is a complete food source. Soybeans contain carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals like calcium, folic acid, potassium and iron. In addition, the protein in soybeans consists of all essential amino acids that is necessary for health.

The habit of eating soy in the daily diet has many benefits. Soybeans are rich in isoflavones. The role of soy isoflavones is to reduce the risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and prostate cancer, lower total cholesterol and LDL (bad cholesterol) and raising HDL (good cholesterol) and lowers blood pressure, preventing the gene mutation, to prevent osteoporosis in women postmenopausal.

2. Soybeans are very easily digested and also one of the foods most nutritious body builder in the world.

3. This food is very good for supporting growth and development of children.

5. Soybeans are rich in linoleic and linolenic acids (unsaturated fats). Therefore, the food is very good for maintaining healthy skin.

6. Lecithin has been claimed to be effective in lowering blood cholesterol levels through the process of fat emulsion. Because it is very useful in the fight hardening of the arteries as well as complications from heart disease, brain, kidneys and eyesrncould arise.

9. Lecithin works to increase the content of gamma globulin in the blood. Gamma globulin is working to boost immunity against infectious diseases.

Besides consumed as food for human, soy can also be made as animal feed, candles, soap, even biodiesel fuel. Therefore, if you rarely consume soy, this could be one that healthy food choices for your body.
