Once a car reaches its predicted life cycle, you can sell car in Auckland to a junkyard or similar facilities available where they decide how it should be recycled according to several factors. First, the facility will check if the car is repairable. If it is repairable they repair it otherwise send it for recycling if the repairing of the particular vehicle is unprofitable. They start dismantling and recycling immediately. The next step of recycling is draining the car of all it fluids. Antifreeze, engine oil, transmission and brake fluids are drained and kept aside for safe disposal. Gas and oil are drained, filtered and reused. The engine and transmission are detached from the chassis along with other reusable parts are removed and cleaned. Tyres and batteries are sold again or reused within the facility. rnSelling of recovered auto parts is also done. The removed usable parts are resold to the same manufacturing companies or other companies according to demand and sometimes to just local operators. rnOnce all the parts are removed and sold it is made sure that only iron and steel is left in the body.
