I once read a story about a farmer who sold his farm so that he couldrngo off in search for gold. The farmer searched for many years, butrnhe never found any gold. Meanwhile, the man who bought the farm fromrnthe farmer one day discovered what turned out to be the biggest goldrnmine in the country. We all know the phrase from scripture that states: "Seek and ye shallrnfind." Like the farmer, many of us believe that this means that if wernwant something, we simply seek it out and we will find it. Another rnclosely related statement is: Ask and ye shall receive." Both of thesernstatements imply that as a reward for believing in a certain doctrinernthings will simply be given to us. What these statements fails to rnmention is imagination and preparation. Perhaps, there are people rnwho were simply given fortune and fame. I have not had the pleasure rnof meeting of them. The people I know begin with imagination. They rnvisualized themselves doing or being what they desired. Then, they rnmove on to preparation. They focused on learning and becoming the rnperson they needed to be in order to acheive what they desired. These realizations came to me after sitting down one day and declaringrnthat I was going to be an internet marketer. I opened the computer andrnbased solely on a desire backed by hope I begin to "seek" my path torninternet riches. The internet vultures, I mean Guru's were waiting onrnme. It was not long before I was overwhemed by all the programs claimingrnto be the quick and easy path to internet riches. I repeatedly joined rnprograms expecting to immediately start making money. When the moneyrndid not come I simply decided that the program did not work and joinedrnanother program, still holding to the expectation that I would make rnmoney quickly and easily. As I heard someone put it: I became anotherrnone of the people constantly searching for my pot of gold, while neverrnstaying with anything long enough to know if it would actually work. I would have probably quite if I had not believed that the universernnever leaves you stranded. If it gives you a problem, it also givesrnyou the ability to overcome the problem. I simply need to figure outrnthe steps to take in order to change my situation for the better. Thankfully, just as there are vultures working the internet, there rnare also people who believe in giving equivalent value for any servicernthey render to you. What could be concieved as a problem, by somernpeople, is that the people offering value only make themselves availablernto you when you are truly ready to recieve what they have to offer. Yournsee, these people are leaders and are very much aware of the value theyrnoffer. Their time is precious to them and they are careful not to wasternit. So, what is a "newbie" to do until he/she has earned the ability to rnattract an unselfish teacher. I know we all have got to making a rnliving, still, my suggestion to any new person is to focus on the rnlearning, rather than focusing on the money. Also, it is very important that rnyou put to use whatever you learn. Your goals will only materalize if you apply andrnpractice what you learn. Herman Wheeler
