Many have heard it said that "thoughts are things," and that "what you think about most of the time will come to you eventually." I fully believe that this is true, and that you can get what you really want through changing the way you think about yourself. Not through some mystical hocus pocus like a lot of folks want to illustrate it but as a simple formula, and that is thoughts become beliefs and beliefs become actions and actions create results. There's no bizarre twilight zone stuff involved, it's not as easy to sell someone on action but that's really what the law of attraction is, it's a law of action. It is not called the law of attr-sit around and simply think about what I want and it will magically fall from the sky. It is the law of attr-ACTION!

One of the most difficult things we encounter is getting our mind clear and focused on what we want so that when an opportunity to act comes along we recognize it. So I have pout together 5 simple ways to help get your mind clear and focused so that you are having more thoughts that empower you and create the beliefs that create the action that create the results.

1- Pay Attention- This sounds simple but is really quite a challenge. It has been said that on average a normal person has around 60,000 thoughts each day. The difficulty lies in that we keep having the same thoughts over and over and over. For example every morning most people have the exact same sequence of thoughts that they had the previous morning. But if we pay attention to what we are thinking we can let some of the thoughts that hold us back just pass on by.

2- Keep A Thought Jou
al- While I think everyone should keep a daily or weekly jou
al for posterity this is not the kind of jou
al I am talking about. Each day at some point everybody has at least one "inspired thought" some people have a lot more, but that's a topic for another time. I would challenge you to have some kind of note taking ability on you at all times (cell phones make this very simple) and when you have some sort of thought that you feel is inspired just write it down. As you pay more attention to what you are thinking you will find more and more inspired thoughts come your way. This is how you will see new opportunities.

3- Enjoy The Silence- Learn to embrace the sound of nothing. Learn to pay attention to silence. We live in such a fast paced world where noise and clutter are all around us. It is more important now than ever before that we find some time each day to be in silence and recharge. I have found that meditation is a great way to get into a silent space.

4- Affirm Yourself- Affirmations have power, and to fully realize the power of affirmations there are a few things that need to be in place, first they need to inspire you, second you need to state them in the first person present tense (I am), and lastly yet most important they need to be about being something. Instead of saying "I have a loving family" you would say "I am a member of a loving family." Instead of "I have 20,000 dollars in the bank" you would say "I am abundance."

5- Get Focused- Miracles happen when you get focused on what you really want. What I would challenge you to do is take a task that you know will help you achieve something that you need. And block out just 30 minutes a day to work on that task. But this 30 minutes is special, you will need to disconnect from the world for this 30 minutes, no phones, no emails, no text messages, no drop ins. Just put a note on the door saying that you are unavailable for the next 30 minutes and to not disturb you for any reason. Then get going and immerse yourself in the task at hand and you will find that often in 30 minutes of uninterrupted, concentrated effort you can do up to 3 hours worth of work.

Change your thoughts, clear your mind and entertain only those thoughts that will bring you positive results, when you do this your actions will change and your results will change as well.
