Sleeping in your bed has many health benefits. These health benefits are both mental and physical. Every single night when we go to sleep we are healing ourselves. It is truly unhealthy to miss sleep on a regular basis. It is widely recommended that an adult human being should sleep at least eight hours each and every single day. In the wild, for example, an adult giraffe may sleep for a total of about forty minutes a day and this may consist of a series of three to five minute increments. However, unlike animals such as giraffes, human beings have large brains. These large brains of ours will not function effectively without adequate amounts of sleep. This article shall briefly explain a couple of health benefits of why it is important to buy a comfortable quality bed and sleep in it every single day. rnThe first benefit is that poor sleep is linked to weight gain and obesity. If you are looking to lose weight, sleeping is a simple, free and effective way to do so. It is no exaggeration to mention that short sleep duration is one of the strongest risk factors that causes obesity. In one scientific study it was concluded that children and adults who were accustomed to sleeping for short durations were eighty nine percent and fifty five percent more likely to be overweight, respectively. Being overweight in itself comes with many other health risks and problems. If you're trying to lose weight, getting quality sleep in absolutely crucial to achieving your goal Another benefit that comes with sleeping on a comfortable bed every single night is the fact that good sleepers tend to eat less calories. This health benefit is strongly related and connected to the first health benefit mentioned. People who are deprived of adequate hours of sleep on a daily basis have their daily functions disrupted as it is believed to cause poor appetite regulation. The reason why a lack of sleep makes a person consume more calories is because sleeping regulates and combats higher levels of ghrelin, the hormone that stimulates appetite, and reduced levels of leptin, the hormone that suppresses appetite. Those who get adequate sleep tend to eat fewer calories than those who don't. And finally, the most important reason why you should buy and sleep in a comfortable bed is because sleeping helps to improve your memory and concentration. Your mind is surprisingly very busy while you rest. Your conscious mind is completely off, however, your subconscious mind is a giant that never sleeps. New memory connections are forged and reaffirmed while you are asleep. It has been reported that a person who hasn't slept the whole night is as dangerous as a person who has drank a lot of alcohol. They are bound to be clumsy and have many accidents. In conclusion, as mentioned before, adequate amounts of sleep are essential to our well-being and help us functioning better. We have powerful complicated brains that need adequate amounts of rest. We are not giraffes or other simple creatures that can function with very short amounts of sleep. Therefore it is important to find a good and comfortable mattress or bed and to make sure we get in a minimum of eight hours sleep on a daily basis.
