Here are three important steps needed for finding peace and grace.

Dedication - When we dedicate our lives to being a better person, by following a process which creates a peaceful life. By working towards being a loving person we are at the first rung of the ladder. And without dedication it’s almost impossible to do anything in life. Take for instance going to college, we have to start out in our first year of college and put in the ground work of classes before we can take our graduate classes. And as spiritual beings if we don’t put in the ground work we never attain that great peace we want. Some will say it’s always been within… and that is true… but have we ever touched that place before? Some people have spiritual awakening happen spontaneously, but most have to put in the time working towards enlightenment.

Detachment - There will always be obstacles in our way, and there are always those who will scoff and try to do harm to our reputation and to our physical bodies. But just like many of the greats in all the spiritual texts, they too had to turn away from those who were not willing to listen and detach themselves from the nay sayers. At first this can be extremely hard to do but with practice it becomes easier. Even great president of countries around the world are tormented by people who don’t like them, but they move forward anyway. And that’s exactly what spiritual seekers have to do, move forward even though people scoff and torment them. It’s all part of the process of growing spiritually.

Concentration - It’s very easy to allow our mind to wander and thus allow trivial things to take over our mind and life. Yet those who are on a spiritual path have a laid out destiny before them. And so they walk their talk and take one step at a time. If we allow ourselves to be side tracked by the world we never accomplish what we want to do in life. Ask anyone on their death bed, almost all of them wished they had more time to do a few more things and to make a bigger difference in the world. Thus it’s important that we concentrate on doing our spiritual work, thus never allowing the material world to keep us from our goal.
If we use all three mindsets together nothing can stop us.

Many Blessings to Everyone!
