Despite tournament loss and the loss of key players, the Tigers find a way into the post season.n nWith a season record of 21-5 and an 11-3 conference record, the Tigers overcame their loss of four key players and the challenge of putting together a new team. Up until now, their season had been a success. The won the SCIAC regular season championship for the second consecutive season. However, the team started to lose hope after suffering a four point defeat to Claremont.nnThe NCAA has offered the Tigers a Pool C bid, allowing them and other teams a chance to make it into the national tournament. After winning the regular season SCIAC championship and then losing in the first round of the SCIAC tournament, it was disapointing. However, the NCAA has given them a second chance and by inviting them to the NCAA March Madness tournament. The team is extremely happy about that and plan on capitalizing on the opportunity. they also get a rematch against Pomona-Pitzer who beat them at home a few weeks ago. nnThis season's players have gone over and above everyone's expectations. Some of which have improved from previous seasons and contributed to wins this year include Sean Anderson, Huston Conti and Chris Pitcher. All three have made exceptional progress during the course of the year. The others have also but those 3 have excelled greatly. nnEvery player has played a different role in the team's success going towards the SCIAC championship. There is a definite synergy among teammates with each given 100 percent. Each player contributes in some way to make the team as good as it is.nnAfter losing many valuable players, the team has bounced back better than expected and as a result, they have been able to compete and put themselves in a good position to win SCIAC. Luckily for them, they value the game more than the result, which is exactly why the future holds just as much promise as this season has shown.nn
