It is happening, and we need to fight it…: “The after the holidays (Thanksgiving through Valentine’s Day), we are too tired to workout, bored with the same menus we’re cooking repeatedly, and the just generally wanting warmer weather blues… Somebody wrote a song about it… Yes, we know this so well because so many of us are experiencing it… Life in general can be somewhat tough and if you add tired, bored and sometimes you just cannot explain what is going on to it; you start feeling like you need a new battery and just a general overhaul… Yep, it is time to recharge and renew! We can begin to recharge by adding massages to our personal agendas in order to help us relax and to help our bodies get rid of toxins. By trying different makeup techniques we can take advantage of this time to update our looks (there are so many free demonstrations on YouTube). Try going to makeup counters and trying out new lipstick shades. Additionally, check out all the new nail colors on Pinterest, you will be amazed at the variety. While you’re at it, why not consider changing your hair color, style or both. There are tools available to see how you would look in different hairstyles and colors. See what is available in your local area. Between all the cooking channels and shows there is absolutely no reason to continue with the same old boring menus. Try a new chicken dish, dessert or drink. Better yet, get with your family and collect family recipes and put a book together. This can be so much fun and will bring back fond family history, memories and hopefully so new menu ideas. Make a commitment to yourself to do something special for “you” weekly. Use this time to beef up your fitness program or add a fitness program. You can create a great fitness plan and do it at home. There is so much information online to help you. If you want to lose a few pounds before summer, then now is a great time to implement a plan and create a program for a healthy lifestyle. So what if you did not keep your New Year’s resolution; you can put yourself back on the healthy lifestyle track NOW… It is never too late to recharge and renew your life… Don’t you think NOW is as good a time as any, even if you have a lot going on in your life and your schedule is very hectic. Taking a 20 minute walk after dinner is an awesome thing to do for you. Try 20 minutes on arms one day and 20 minutes on your abs another day, then legs, etc. You get the idea: “A healthy you is a better you”. You will feel renewed and recharged by making some of these changes… There’s no time like now!
