It would be awesome if there was a computer program that you could use to adjust the amount of muscle on your body. I bet you think I am going to tell you how to do that, not quite, I wish that was possible. Sadly enough our technology has not reached those heights just yet, but it would be cool if it had reached those capabilities. rnOn a different note, I am going to share with you some tips and tricks that you can utilize to help you learn the proper way on how to gain muscle mass. With these tips you can be well on your way to gaining some muscle and then you can be one who achieves a pretty good body transformation. Lift Heavy Weights If you are serious about gaining some muscle, then listen up. This is some valuable information on how to build muscle. I am sure you have heard many times that in order to get big you have to pump some heavy iron. But it is not only the heavy weight that helps but also the exercises you choose to lift. By including the squat and deadlift exercises into your training program, you will make sure that you are gaining the maximum amount of muscle possible. If you are looking for one or two exercises that are the best at building muscle throughout your whole body, then the squat and the deadlift are it. I know you might be thinking, well doesn't the squat focus mainly on legs? The answer is sort of yes and sort of no. If you take a look at how the squat is performed you will see that all that weight is being place over your whole body. Yep that is right, your whole body is used when you perform a squat. It is true that your legs are the primary target for moving that weight, but your other muscles have to support your body in order to do a squat. Another reason is that the squat and deadlift are one of the few exercises where you can lift massive amounts of weight. Since those exercises work your whole body and you can use lots of weight, this causes a huge release of growth hormones that will make your body grow. So these are the reasons why doing squats and deadlifts will help increase muscle throughout your whole body. Avoid Getting Hurt As we discussed pumping heavy iron is important for building muscle mass. Nevertheless, what you also need to be careful about is continuing on with a progressive overload training program for too long of a period, without taking a break from it. By doing this for too long of a period without taking a break will end up causing you to start over-training. As you might already know, over-training your muscles can lead to muscle loss and yet, even worse, a possible injury. It sucks really bad wanting to go workout and build muscle, but an injury is holding you back. That generally places a halt to your muscle gains and leaves you focusing on repairing the injury. This could result in having to take a while off of training. Just picture how much possible muscle you could have gained if you had not injured yourself. rnWhat you should do is use a week every so often to take it easy on the training. Spend your time while you are on your off week dealing more with stretching, foam rolling activities and maybe some light weight workouts. Change Up Your Workout Program This tip maybe somewhat related to the things I was talking about earlier. But I felt that it also fits in a section of its own. What I suggest with this tip is that you should take the exercises you like the least and the area that you seem to be the weakest in and train those areas first in your routine. The whole point of this is that usually people have a tendency to give their all to their favorite exercises and slack off a little bit on the exercises that they do not like as much. This tip forces you to give your all when you are fresh at the beginning of the workout or the beginning of your workout week, and thus changing your weak points into strong points. To Sum Things Up If you want to gain some muscle at a fast rate, then I highly recommend putting these tips into practice. By revolving around progressive overload, pumping some heavy iron, using back off weeks to avoid injuries and constantly change up your workout routines to constantly be working on your weak points, you will be well upon your way to creating the body transformation of your dreams. Train hard and expect success, Cory Cook
