Tips for Seamless Business Process Testing Implementation

  2. Different BPT modules: There are three key modules in the quality center, namely, Business Component Module, Test Plan Module, and the Test Lab Module. The first one is comprised of the steps required for executing functionality in a business process. Next up is the test plan module that contains the different parts of a test scenario. Finally, the test lab module is what allows one first to execute the business process test and then also examine and carefully analyze the results.
  3. Debug the BPT: Once you are through with the process of designing the BPT, it is vital to debug it, i.e., execute it and see that all the components are in the right order and the data is functioning as intended. Think of it as testing an automation script, if you will. So, in the test plan module, use the Run or Debug Test button, and then select Debug in the prompt window. In Debug mode, a breakpoint is added in the component’s first line as default to ensure the part is debugged line by line.
The business process testing methodology, when implemented and executed correctly, can help companies achieve substantially higher levels of productivity across their testing teams.
