Before you pop that special question to the person that you love, you’ll want to take a moment and make sure that you’ve got just the special ring that is going to make them fall even more in love with you.  That being said, ring shopping is one of those exhilarating and terrifying experiences that can get the best of us.  A huge part of this is due to the clear elephant in the room: the cost.  Looking to get a good deal on a ring that is going to still make a good impression?  Here are some tips for actual deals that can help out.
  • Understand the Four Cs and what you can compromise on: The four cs of shopping are Cut (how a diamond is faceted and cut to make it sparkle), Colour (A white diamond is the most popular, but you can also find various hues in diamonds that will impact its overall aesthetic), Clarity (the transparency of the diamond as it compares to one with natural lines or clouds in the stone), and Carat (the weight and size of the diamond).  
Some of them, such as cut and color, are important to get right.  However, clarity and carat can often have some wiggle room and will help you keep the price manageable.  Since clarity is often thought to be overrated since all diamonds look great to the naked eye, this can be a huge help!

While getting a deal can mean something different to everyone, the deals and savings are those that are personalized to what you’re going for, the ring itself, and how both of those things blend together.
