Going raw food is a step further than just wanting to be a person who eats healthy. This by no means suggests that by following a raw diet you are eating healthier than people who eat cooked food. By definition a raw food diet is one that excludes any cooked food at more than 43 degrees Celsius. In most cases people who follow a raw food diet do not eat anything cooked at all. They eat fruits and vegetables and other unprocessed produce which may exclude diary products. In most cases they also attempt to follow a strictly organic raw food diet. When deciding to follow a raw food diet there a few things to consider and to know. First of all there is no set out guidelines cast in stone that one should follow. there are degrees to being raw so to speak. Some people find it easier to be 50 percent raw yet some prefer to be 40 percent raw in place of being 100 percent raw. when you are less than 100 percent raw this means you also eat cooked food time and again to a certain chosen extent. This however has an impact on how you feel in terms of your energy levels, rejuvenation, alertness and so on. Most people who are 100 percent raw food diet complain of some negative loss whenever they decide to eat processed or cooked food. This is what you will likely forgo should you not wish to be 100 percent raw. When becoming a rawist you need to know that your body is essentially your compass. It determines how far and how fast you will and can go. For some individuals it takes more time for the body to adjust to eating a raw food diet. Some may suffer some side effects so to speak but these will likely disappear as one insist on going raw. You will also need to consider how much time you have on your hands to prepare your raw food. Following a raw food diet on a daily basis can be time consuming and frustrating for most new comers. This means you need to have your fruits and veggies peeled and ready for all your daily meals. This can prove very difficult for those with a very busy schedule. Therefore some people prefer to start slowly and expand their raw food-ism until they reach 100 percent. Yet another important factor to consider is when to start and what ingredients to follow. Seasons are important to consider. Starting in winter for example will likely present a host of problems in terms of your raw food variety. In winter you have less fruits and vegetables that you can possible get in summer in most parts of the world. Starting in summer will therefore likely give you the required momentum and experience which can help you effectively and successfully handle the winter when it comes. Also thing about the general availability or certain ingredients in your locality. For example different regions have different produce. The local farmers market is an important place to start. If you want organic produce the choice of ingredients might just be narrowed further seeing that in most parts of the world not many farmers are organic. The trend is just starting to gain momentum. Other tips for going raw food you will need will include what tools and utensils to buy. You will need a board to cut your produce as well a sharp set of knives to do it effectively and efficiently.
