You've submitted a wonderful resume and your cover letter is next to perfection. Finally you got that all important call-back for an interview. The job is everything that you want. What's the best way to accomplish this all-important interview? How will you present yourself so that the prospective employer sees all of the positive things you can offer to them? The answer to those questions are the same answers that thousands of people consider every day.
The right answers to the questions that you're going to be asked at your job interview, the right clothing to wear, what kind of things you can expect, are questions that will cross your mind before your interview. You want to make the best impression you can. You want to walk away with that perfect job. Making the right impression and doing the things that will help you to get the job is your goal.
The little things that you do will add up to a strong first impression. Making sure that you attend to those little things is an important part of planning for your interview strategy.

Here are a few of the top tips that will help you to walk away from your interview with the job that you're looking for.
Have a copy of your resume with you when you leave for your interview. Quite often your interviewer will have a copy with them, and ideally that's how it is supposed to work, but once in a while your interviewer will not have the document with them for the interview. Offer a copy if you do not see them reviewing it as you speak.
Dress for success. Don't over dress, and definitely don't under-dress. If the position that you're going to be interviewing for will be in a stock market, dress appropriately for the position. Arrive at your interview wearing clothing that would be appropriate for your work. Likewise, if you were going to get a job as a construction supervisor, arriving to the interview dressed in casual slacks and shirt would be appropriate but a suit and tie would give the wrong impression.
Make sure, above all else, that you are on time for your interview. You are working to make the best impression that you can. Leave your house a half hour early if you need to, but get to your interview on time. If you can't make it to your interview in a timely way, the company has every right to expect that you won't be on time for your job.
Getting to your interview on time, keeping your clothing appropriate, and making sure that you're well prepared for your interview mean that you're going to sail through it and look good in the process.
