They do so instead of determining their areas of weakness and eliminating them. CEO advisors believe that if a CEO excels at several things, they can effortlessly deal with and manage any mistakes they make. Hence, they strive to focus on the behaviors and abilities that can help the individual and their organization grow and improve their effectiveness. Gradual Approach No change can come immediately. It requires a minimum period to reduce all resistance to the implemented alterations and handle the consequences. However, some CEOs may require a significant amount of time. In other instances, another CEO may desire quick changes and immediate results. Thus, it is essential to adjust the coaching speed according to the CEO’s competencies to ensure they do not go too fast or too slow. A beneficial approach is to incorporate a range to their existing style and implement them through role-play first. Then, they can use the changes in safe environments such as CEO peer groups.
