Well, we are all aware of the fact that health is our greatest wealth. Yet, when it comes to prioritize our healthcare we often shrug to laziness. And while the hustle and bustle of everyday life deviates us from keeping a tab on our healthcare, there exist no reason strong enough to put your healthcare on back seat. But through certain planning and consciousness, we could manage to stay healthy at workplace. 

1. Stay hydrated

Hearing this since you were in school, hydration can never take a back seat when it comes to healthy lifestyle. Set alarms if drinking water does not occur naturally to you. Keep a tab and make it a habit to gulp at least 1.5- 2 litres of water at your workplace. Dehydration may lead to headache and dizziness, and you might lose all your energy by slumping in lethargy.

2. Take regular breaks

An average employee spends nearly 40-50 hours in a week at their workplace stuck to their chair. And while there might exist an overwhelming workload, we encourage you to take small breaks at regular intervals. It might be a walk to nearest room or relaxation in recreation room or a chit chat session with your favourite colleague. Never undermine the power held by these small breaks in overall productivity at workplace.

3. Eat healthy

It might be tempting to grab a sandwich or snack at workplace and get a little more sleep in the morning. However, get off that bed, manage your schedules and plan for your meals priorly. Put in extra efforts to prepare your lunch and trust us this would result positively in a long run. Besides, healthy meal leads to happy mind.

4. Keep a check on your body posture

We often shrug to laziness and forget to keep a check on our body postures. Maintaining a body posture could itself solve myriads of health problems, not to mention back problems and frozen shoulders. Relax yourself and change your positions time and again to facilitate flexibility.

5. Stay clean, Stay hygienic

Aren't we all aware of the health problems caused by shabby places? Our advice is to take some time out every week and organize your desk. Keep a bin at your proximity. Keep a hand sanitizer and dry tissues handy. Get your desk cleaned every day. You cannot even comprehend the germs present at your workstation alone. It is this small precautionary measures could take you long way.

6. Stress management

After all we are humans and we cannot be expected to be perfect all the time. Overwhelming workload and personal strains could lead to stress at workplace. And as important it is to address our physical health, our mental health is equally important. At workplace you could manage your stress by indulging in some fun activity. Be it a meditation, chat with colleague or indulging in your favourite stand up, tackle this stress before it leads to sever problems. However, it is advisable to consult a help when the stress is draining you off happiness.

Strive for your goals. But do so with tact by keeping a tab on health. After all, healthy mind is a key asset to any organization.
