When it comes to establishing and maintaining a healthy diet, it would be ideal if everyone could follow the same diet. After all, everything from maintaining a healthy weight to preventing disease and more are affected by the foods that you eat. Unfortunately, there is not a catch-all meal plan that works well for every person. Many foods that are identified as being healthy for some people can actually cause unpleasant symptoms in other people. Some foods even have fatal consequences if they are consumed by the wrong individual. These are a few of the more common types of foods that many people should consume regularly and that are unhealthy for others to consume.
Milk
Organic, pasture-raised and hormone-free milk is loaded with excellent nutrients that your body needs for optimal health. This includes various vitamins and calcium. A low-fat type of milk also gives your body a healthy source of fats that are essential for brain and nervous system health. However, many people are lactose intolerant, and some have a severe milk allergy. An alternative is to switch from cow’s milk to almond, soy or coconut milk.
Peanuts
Peanuts and other types of nuts also are a source of healthy fats, and they are a wonderful source of protein. Protein helps you to feel full for longer periods of time, to stabilize blood sugar levels and more. However, nut allergies are common. Many people have such severe allergies to nuts that they must avoid any foods that may have even the slightest elements of nut particles in them. The use of an emergency epinephrine injection is often necessary if these individuals accidentally ingest nuts.
Fiber
Fiber, such as in kale and wheat products, is known to help individuals feel full, and this can promote an ideal weight. It also can assist with digestion and easier excrement of waste. However, fiber is not always easily digested. Some people experience extreme pain and other side effects when they consume even a small amount of fiber. Avoiding wheat and other fiber-rich foods is one option. Another option is to use an enzyme supplement that promotes healthy digestion.
As you can see, it is important for each individual to identify healthy foods that his or her body can consume and to create a great diet based on those foods. Spend time researching healthy foods that you should ideally consume regularly, and compose a meal plan based on the foods that your body can tolerate. Remember that you can use supplements and other products to obtain health benefits from some foods without having to deal with the unpleasant side effects.Further reading
