All your bags have been packed, and you have already left on your jetplane and alighted at Bali. The question now is, how to best enjoy your vacation here and make good use of your time! To help you out, WAH has compiled a list of the top five things one must put in their iterinary while in Bali and get the best out of your holiday package! 1. A holiday in Bali wouldn’t really be legit without indulging in a bit of surfing right? Beginners can learn the sport at Kuta or at Seminyak. Other surf spots include Sanur, Canggu and Nusa Dua. So take your pick, gear up in your bathing suit and hit the waves! After all, you don’t get to ride on water everyday! 2. One of Bali’s most popular sites, Tanah Lot is a sacred temple in Tabanan that rests on a large rock by the ocean. Local legend claims that this holy temple of the Balinese gods is guarded by sea snakes. Tanah Lot is especially popular among visitors due to its overwhelming landscape. A walk up to the higher cliffs here in the evening will reward you with an absolutely stunning view of the sunset – a soothing and calming experience indeed. 3. Bali tourism prides itself on having a rather exciting nightlife, with plenty of bars and rooftop restaurents to keep you entertained. Drag shows, live musical performances and dance marathons all add to the unique flavour of the island’s evening scene. Mbargo, Bali Joe, La Plancha are just some among many bars and clubs that promise to lighten up your night! 4. So you’ve waddled enough in the water, you’ve had your share of sunbathing and you’re finally tired of beach hopping. “What next?” you wonder. Well, this only means its about time you made your way to Mount Agung. At 3,142 metres , this is the highest point on the island. The mountain is in fact a strato-volcano that last erupted in 1963. Folklore labels Mount Agung as a replica of Mount Meru, the central axis of the universe. An invigorating trek of roughly four hours will bring you to this majestic site. 5. No self-respecting tourist ever leaves a destination without exploring the shopping scene of that place! There are plenty of attractive knick knacks to pick up in Bali. Ceramic crockery is especially popular here, as are several shops here that sell traditional Indonesian artefacts and Batik print fabrics. Seminyak and Jimabaran are two popular shopping destinations in Bali. So book your tickets as fast as you can and pick the Bali tour package that suits you best!
