There are two very different ways that can be preformed surgery, orthopedic surgery, arthroscopic or open. Arthroscopic surgery is preformed on an outpatient basis, allowing the patient to return home the same day of surgery or some time they have to stay for 1 to 7 days. Although nonsurgical methods can help eliminate knee pain, there are many benefits of knee surgery when performed by an orthopedic surgeon with experience. Many of the beneficiaries of total knee surgery find that they are able to do things that have not been able to do for years.
