In early days letters were used for communication which was too time consuming. But telephone brought a new era of communication in the world. The telephone referred to as a phone, is a telecommunications device that transmits and receives sounds such as the voice of humans. It is used for communication between two persons. The persons who are on a great distance can also communicate very easily with it. All telephones have a microphone to speak into, an earphone which reproduces the voice of the other person, a ringer which makes a sound to alert the owner when a call is coming in, and a keypad o enter the telephone number of the telephone to be called. The most common thing which is even known to a small child is mobile. In these modern world no one would be unaware about the mobile. It is the most exciting thing since the invention of telephone. It does not have wires connected to it. It is completely wireless.It uses the simcard to have a network.Every telecom company require to have their network at different places so that simcard can have network. The network stations are build and it is like that of antenna. It also has a keypad.Day by day mobiles are getting slim and small so that it is easy to carry and use. For a mobile subscriber to receive a call, the subscriber’s precise location must obviously be known. The cellular network is been divided into different locations. These different locations has the different ID number. Each base station is known by the ID number. Different types of telephones were available like hand-cranked generator,Wooden hand-cranked wall telephone, Candlestick phone, Hardware-based IP phone, codeless phone and so on. The different services are provided by BSNL and MTNL, Reliance Infocomm, Tata Teleservices, Hutchison-Essar, Bharti Tele-Ventures, Escotel, Idea Cellular, BPL Mobile, Spice Communications. In a same way different mobile handset are also available.The mobiles are like Nokia,Samsung,LG,Sony and so on. The portable telephones were also invented but they were not successful. But mobiles were successful.the telephones have wire so it is not portable but cellphones are portable. This is one of the main advantage of mobile over telephone. But telephone are easy to understand and its working are also easy but the mobiles working are not as easy to understand.The most interesting feature of mobile are SMS facility which is the heart throne of today’s generation.It is also now available on telephones but they are not as successful as it is in mobile.The cost of telephone depends on the telecom company and the tariff which you request.The mobile also have the charges depending on the handset and simcards. The feature of camera is only available on mobile.It is not been available on telephones.But the new era of mobile have made the value f mobile negligible.The mobiles are very beneficial when we are out and important messages are to be transmitted but at the same time the misuse of mobile are also increasing speedily.Thus it should be used as its requirement and in a beneficial way.We can say that both are useful in one or the other way.
