rnPromoting uncommon, off the beaten path destinations of our country such as the culture and lifestyle of the Surma tribes in the Bench Maji Zone in times when there was no access road to the area, collaborating with the Telecommunications office to equip its vehicles with communication radios, Acquiring a private boat to operate tours to tribes across the Omo River going on voyages from Omo Mursi to Lake Turkana, locating camping zones in areas where there was no accommodation facility such as Turmi, establishing Bilen lodge in the Afar Region, Amibara Woreda to enhance the tourist stream to the area, encouraging the participation of women in the sector and employing one of the first female Tour Guides in the country and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility in terms of educating youngsters living around remote destinations where there is no access to schools as well as creating the establishment opportunity for various local companies operating in the sector today through its clients are few of the noble works Travel Ethiopia pioneered in transforming the tourism and hospitality industry of Ethiopia which arised from the wide experience, true dedication and patience of its two founders.rnSo far Travel Ethiopia has hosted and successfully provided its services to a plentiful number of tourists, foreign and local dignitaries such as George. W.Bush and the Prince of Germany, VIP guests, university scholars and collaborated with a number of travel writers and international film-making companies focused on nature, wildlife and culture that produced widely popular articles and videos which were broadcasted worldwide that eventually heightened the international exposure of Ethiopia as a tourist destination globally.rnAn 11 day trip to a film-making team based in Africa led by Mr. Michel Laplace to the harsh, inhospitable yet otherworldly and astonishing landscape of the Dallol area and the oldest active lava lake of Erta-Ale whose footage was aired on National Geographic channels, a film crew of Japan TV named Voice of Japan that has repeatedly produced videos about the culture and lifestyle of the different tribes living in Ethiopia are exemplary teams hosted by Travel Ethiopia who played an immense role in building a pleasant image of Ethiopia as well as launching a successful promotional campaign about our country’s potential in the sector through the videos they produced.rnFrom the challenging hikes and mule rides in the Surma desert to horseback treks in the Simien and Bale Mountains National Parks and camels in the Dallol desert and Erta-ale volcanic mountains, boat rides from Gilgel Gibe & River Omo to Lake Turkana, from helicopters and charter airplanes to surface vehicles, we have thoroughly covered the four corners of Ethiopia, the bare deserts and lush forests, the peaks and the depressions and feel truly honored to say that Travel Ethiopia is a pioneer in the Tourism Industry of Ethiopia.rnWithout the support of our excellent team it would never have been this big.
