“If we simply realize our infinite ability to experience, the thousand-petaled lotus will unfold before our eyes”.
~Michael Talbot
Travel allows us the opportunity to slow down and really connect to other cultures and people. It encourages patience and requires releasing attachment to how we think things need to go, allowing life to flow a bit more organically.

Travel expands our awareness and shifts our perceptions of our inner and outer worlds. It gives us a chance for self reflection, allowing us to perceive things from a different and more expanded perspective.

Recently, I spent a month traveling abroad. My trip began in Sri Lanka, where I stayed with my friend’s incredibly amazing family and was a bridesmaid in her wedding. From there, I headed into the south of India for three weeks. I spent my time in India swimming in the ocean, reading, jou
aling, exploring ancient Hindu temples, practicing yoga, soaking up some nature and experiencing the local way of living. I even ate with my hands. Indian culture and mysticism totally captivate me.

While in India, I also spent a lot of time reflecting on my own relationship with food and feeling deep gratitude for just how far I have come. As someone who struggled for over a decade with a very painful and all consuming relationship with food and my body, it is incredibly refreshing to be settling into a place of peace and acceptance in this area.

My life purpose and mission is to empower women with the mindset shifts, strategies and tools to escape from the tornado of compulsive eating, guilt and body jail. The truth is that long standing habits require time and patience to transform and an unravelling of layers from the inside out is needed in order to create lasting change.
