Traveling to Vietnam

Most travelers to Vietnam are attracted by the country's natural beauty. Get experience a faded colonial elegance of Hanoi, emerald green waters of Ha Long Bay, a majesty of Hue, a quaint of Hoi An, the beaches and islands of Nha Trang, a dynamic atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh city, the tranquil backwaters of the Mekong Delta. With everything from mountains to seas, from cold to hot weather, from town to countryside, Vietnam has many things you may come up with! On the way to Hoalu, Cuc Phuong National Park was worth to visit. Everything here made us surprised. The primate station was interesting with lively monkeys. A quite tall man who led us to see some of the big insects and catch sight of napping lizards loved showing us his homeland; and all loved seeing it through his eyes. The hikes were easy and there was much to see in the jungle despite the rain. Afterwards, the Hoa Lu former capital with Dinh Le Temples was our next stop. In the journey of discovering Ha Long Bay, one of the world’s natural wonders, kayaking gave us memorable feelings. Our group sometimes needs to stretch the bodies lying on the kayak in order not to bang the head to the rocky stalactites. With a kayak, chances are to see more of the world heritage’s beauty. The trip to Hanoi, a peaceful town, was emphasized by a short rickshaw journey throughout the bustling old quarter streets with lots of stores and colonial buildings. It was a suitable choice for sightseeing in the city center, however don't forget to bargain and consent to a cost in advance. Enjoy a saunter in Hoan Kiem Lake to feel its own characteristics, cross the red wooden bridge and discover a small temple. Passing by the street nearby, we also visited a bronze statue in a flower garden. In order to ensure we were able to experience as much as possible during the journey, we toured with a Vietnam travel agent which organizes tailor-made travel and all tours through Indochina. Hue Citadel owns special feudal remnants of immense architectural and cultural values. Even under the rain! It was still crowded. When visiting the site, go with a local tour guide so that you can clearly understand about a historic stage of Vietnam. Tu Dam pagoda - a calm and sacred place was also worth paying a visit. There were lots of believers swarming the place who came to pray and escape the noise and stress of the daily life. Apart from Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary was a destination attracting lots of people. Set in the middle of a jungle covered valley, My Son was a masterpiece of ancient Cham architecture. The dance show on the way was actually rather good; it only lasted about 15 minutes but it was great to see the Cham dances. Passionately deep in the sound, beautiful girls wearing colorful traditional costumes gently smiled when seeing us. In Saigon, we started out going to the central post office, a French-style building. Another impressive site was Municipal Theatre, which holds artistic performances. And if you need something to drink, replace several things in your backpack or buy souvenirs for friends and family, do not miss Ben Thanh market, a big and crowded place, where the whole things were sold remarkably many foodstuffs stalls each serving a different kind of Vietnamese cuisine. Not far from the center of My Tho, we bicycled to the Vinh Trang pagoda. It was a beautiful and well-maintained sanctuary as well as a prevalent home for orphans, disabled and other needy kids. But the great moment of the day was the visit to snake farm: frightening… Most of the snakes raised here are pythons and cobras. They are extremely aggressive. Don't get too adjacent to their cages. There is also a restaurant here, so don’t forget to buy a bottle of snake wine. Our Vietnam tour was an interesting mix of everything: from outstanding culture, cuisine to very friendly people!
