There are many people all around the world who suffer from excessive sweating. Excessive sweating usually affects the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet because those areas have the most number of sweat glands than any other part of the body. When excessive sweating is severe, it can cause negative effects on a person’s overall health, work and social life. Fortunately, there are many effective forms of treatment including Excessive Sweating Acupuncture which is an ancient Chinese method of treatment. Boston Acupuncturists have been treating many people with these problems for the past 10 years due to the hyperactive sympathetic nerves. Severe cases of sweaty hands and feet are called palmer hyperhidrosis and pedal hyperhidrosis respectively. They are usually genetic in nature, which means that they can be passed down from parents to their offspring. Excessive sweating starts early from childhood, and tends to peak at early adolescence if not treated by appropriate methods like Excessive Sweating Acupuncture. Sweaty hands and feet can cause blisters, warts, fungal infections and different kinds of rashes. Besides genetic factors, other factors also contribute to excessive sweating. Stress, emotional stimuli, ADHD medication, coffee,, hot chocolate, spicy foods, alcohol and even anxiety play an important role in worsening the problem of excessive sweating. More and younger people develop excessive sweating because of the over stimulation of their nervous systems in Boston area. Different methods of treatment exist for excessive sweating and they vary according to the severity of the disorder and how well the individual responds to each kind of treatment. But most often treatment methods such as prescription antiperspirants, powders, lotions or creams are ineffective and may cause side effects. Surgery is an effective way to treat excessive sweating disorder, but the excessive sweating can come back a few years after the surgery and the side effect can be excessive sweating in other body parts. Traditional Chinese medicine like Excessive Sweating Acupuncture is a natural, safe way of treating excessive sweating and is highly effective when combined with lifestyle changes such as changing diet, incorporating the right exercise into your routine and practicing relaxation techniques to ease stress and anxiety. Acupuncture for Excessive Sweating According to traditional Chinese medicine, excessive sweating means that the Yin and Yang is not balanced and Yang (energy flow is relative excess compared to Yin). When the spleen and stomach fail to function well in transportation and absorption of nutrients throughout the body, it results in a hypersensitive sympathetic nervous function, which controls the sweat gland. People who do not eat enough vegetables and fruits and take anti-acid medication for more than 6 months, tends to be anxious and sweat easily, especially under stressful condition. Excessive Sweating Acupuncture is aimed to normalize the function of the digestive and nervous system. Acupuncture also works to relax you, so you have less anxiety and panic attack. Traditional Chinese medicine treats nervous conditions or stress by stimulating points in the various pathways related to the heart, kidney, liver and lung.
