R&B star Trey Songz is a multi platinum R&B recording artist famous for his smooth R&B vocals, delicious R&B songs and stunning music videos. Born in Petersburg, Virginia on November 28, 1984, he signed his first recording contract with Atlantic Records in 2002 after being discovered by record music producer Troy Taylor singing in a talent contest. The young Trey Songz then completed his studies and moved to New Jersey to start work on his debut album “I Gotta Make It” which was released on July 26, 2005. The album also earned a Grammy Award nomination in 2009 for ‘Best Male R&B Vocal Performance’. rnTrey Songz released his third studio album “Ready” on August 31, 2009 which featured collaborations with Hip hop stars Drake, Fabolous & Soulja Boy and spawned the excellent singles & music videos “I Need A Girl”, “Lol”, “I Invented Sex”, the excellent “Say Aah” featuring Fabolous and the final single release “Successful” featuring rap star Drake, helping his album “Ready” to debut at number 3 on the Billboard Album charts selling 131,000 copies in its first week of release. The album has some of the best hip hop music videos and since then have been certified Gold and has sold in excess of 500,000 copies in the US alone. Trey Songz released his fourth studio album, entitled “Passion, Pain & Pleasure” on September 14, 2010. It featured high profile collaborations with Hip hop star Drake & rap sensation Nicki Minaj amongst others. The album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard album charts selling 240,000 copies in its first week of release. It also spawned the excellent singles & music videos “Bottoms Up” featuring rap star Nicki Minaj, the sultry love ballad “Can`t Be Friends”, “Unusual” and the gorgeous fourth single “Love Faces”. Trey Songz is expected to release his highly anticipated fifth studio album “Chapter 5” in 2012.
