Chemical feeders play a crucial role in maintaining clean and balanced water in your hot tub. However, like any piece of equipment, they can encounter problems. Understanding common issues and their fixes can help you avoid costly repairs and ensure your hot tub remains safe and enjoyable.

1. Feeder Not Dispensing Chemicals If your feeder isn't releasing chemicals, the most common cause is a clog. Mineral buildup, especially from hard water, can block the internal lines or the dispenser valve. Clean the feeder thoroughly and soak any removable parts in a vinegar solution to dissolve deposits.
2. Uneven Chemical Distribution Hot tubs with poor circulation can cause chemicals to concentrate in one area. Check your pump and filtration system to ensure proper flow. Also, confirm that the feeder is installed correctly and that the tubing isn’t kinked or blocked.
