First off let’s define prosperity. Merriam-Webster defines it as the condition of being successful or thriving; especially: economic well-being. You could also define prosperity as excelling to the point desired. Those are good definitions, but they still do not define true prosperity.
If you are to truly be prosperous in this life you must have an understanding of God’s laws natural and spiritual. Most people think they know but they don’t know what they think they know. They have a lot of information, but in all your getting get understanding.
Just having a lot of money is not true prosperity, because there are a lot of rich people who are miserable. How many times have you heard of a celebrity who has died of a drug overdose or who has committed suicide. They have millions of dollars yet have unfulfilled lives. Having a lot of money is not all in all.
Then what is true prosperity? True prosperity is being prosperous in every arena of life! You have wholeness completeness nothing missing nothing broken in every area of your life. You are prosperous in your mind, in your spirit, in your relationships, in your marriage, in your physical body, and in your finances. If any area is deficient you are wretched, pitiable, and poor. And you do not have true prosperity.
True prosperity is having a sound mind. You think clearly and rationally. There are no defects in your mind your not crazy. You have peace. True prosperity in your spirit is you know who God is and you commune with Him and obey Him. True prosperity in your relationships is that you are a giving and loving person and these things are reciprocated back to you. No back biting or drama. True prosperity in your marriage is a marriage filled with love, intimacy, and each of you knows your role in the marriage relationship. There are no flirty or adulterous affairs. True prosperity in your physical body is you are in good health. Your body is free of sickness or disease. True prosperity in your finances is you have enough money to take care of yourself, but could also help someone else without it affecting you. All your bills are paid and you are not in debt. That my friend is what true prosperity is all about.
In every area of your life you are completely satisfied. Every area of your life is in complete harmony. You wake up every morning happy and rejoicing. You are living a truly fulfilling life. There is no lack in any area of your life. That is true prosperity.
