Trump's Executive Order to Ban Travel from 7 Muslim countries Tarnishes the Noble and Decent Nature of Humanity

Recently, President Trump signed an executive order to ban travel from Sudan, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Libya and Yemen to the USA. The executive order caused furor everywhere including the USA. The executive order already faced protests at airports worldwide.

The executive order defies logic, realism, decency and the international legal system. In addition it jeopardizes the diplomatic relationship between the USA and the Muslim world in general and between the USA and those countries in particular.

Logic dictates that those countries will retaliate and ban travel from the USA to their nations. Furthermore, their governments may go beyond protest to severe their diplomatic relations with the USA and boycott American products including movies.

The ban will have drastic consequences on the spread of terrorism. It will provide the terrorist groups with ammunition to recruit more members from those countries using the ban to fuel the anger within young Muslims aroused by the ban.

American legal experts question the legality of the ban. They base their equivocal uncertainty on the fact that the ban discriminates against Muslim people. The executive order contradicts laws established by the USA congress pertinent to discrimination based on religion. Judges in the USA are using that contradiction to halt deportation of refugees from those countries.

For certain the American human rights among other groups will challenge the executive order through the American legal system.

The legal battle will be launched between the powerful executive order of the president and the responsibilities of the members of the congress toward protecting the congress laws against discrimination based upon religious beliefs.

President Trump is doing his best to shock and anger people everywhere including the members of his own party. However, banning the citizens of those Muslim countries from
travelling to the USA goes beyond comprehension and tarnishes the decency of humanity.

One may wonder about the possibility that president Trump did not bother to take enough time to study the relevant facts pertinent to his executive order.

Does the ban prevent citizens of those countries from visiting their relatives in the USA? How about the firms that have business dealings with American companies, will they be able to travel to the USA?

President Trump justified his inhuman act by stating that he is protecting the American public from terrorist attacks. Does he really believe that banning Muslims from entering the USA will diminish or abolishes terrorism?
The ban will accomplish nothing but put Americans abroad in jeopardy. Besides terrorist groups may refer to counterfeit documents to travel to the USA.

If the ban surpasses the legal challenges and the protests by every decent human being everywhere to go into effect, it may set precedent to future bans.

Would president ban citizens from countries that oppose his irrational foreign policies? Would he ban Muslims from other countries who wish to reunite with their relatives who hold American citizenship?

Discussing the ban with my family and friends in China, Canada and Egypt, I found that they believe the ban is unjust and unfair. It ignites hatred toward Americans due to their government's implication that all Muslims are terrorist. They are angry for being penalized for the act of few who uses Islam to justify their violent acts.

The world leaders have a moral responsibility to support the citizens of those Muslim countries in their struggle against the discrimination inflicted on them based upon their religious beliefs

As many people worldwide, I was hoping that President Trump will alter his divisive rhetoric and attempt to reach harmonious coexistence between the USA and other nations. However, his latest executive order to ban travel to the USA from seven Muslim countries crushed our my hopes.
