If you are planning to go under abdominoplasty also known as tummy tuck then it will be interesting to know the procedure of the surgery.The tummy tuck is completed in three steps and the recovery period is very short.

1.The first step which is taken by the doctor is anesthesia.There are many methods of anesthesia which are used nowadays.The person who is planning to undergo surgery should consult an anesthesiologist to choose the best method which suits him because methods of anesthesia used varies from person to person.

2.The second step which is taken by the surgeon is incision which is made between the pubic hair line and the navel.The length of the incision is decided according to the changes which are planned to be made.The aim of the first incision is removal of extra fat and repairing of weak muscles.Sometimes a second incision is also made to remove extra fat from the upper abdominal area.

3.The third and final step is closing of the incision with the help of sutures.Sometimes a temporary tube is placed under the skin for the removal of extra fluid or blood.This is done to reduce the risk of exte
al infections.Special instructions are given to patient so that he can take care of his surgical wound.

In the beginning the results are not seen due to swelling and bandages but you can see your firm and flat abdomen after few weeks of operation.
