If you had to spend a day on twitter, you could go crazy. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried it, but social media marketing certainly does take a lot of your time and tweeting, though at a bare minimum, makes quite the impact on your business. So what can you do to save time and help you move further into the social media game? Five twitter applications will turn your life around instantly when you learn how to use them.

1. Scheduling. There are several of them and for social media marketers and BPO company there’s no better way to start than by scheduling your tweets. Go as far as a week or two, and save yourself the trouble. Scheduling is probably the most used technique in the book, but it certainly has its benefits. It gives you back one thing: your time.

2. Branding. There’s one thing twitter alone cannot do, and that’s being able to give you a Wall that will help you brand. Everything from your background to your images, these are things you need to consider when creating your account. Make your logo easy to recognize and try on a Tweet Wall for size.

3. Custom alerts. Tweeting is never a one-way street. It’s a tiny conversation and it moves faster than you can imagine. By customizing your search alerts, you no longer need to spend the day looking for mentions or spying on your competition. Let the system alert you when anything comes up. This feature is available on applications like Tweetdeck and Twilert.

Begin your social media journey on the right foot. Believe me. You’re going to need all of these. Without a doubt, no matter how small you begin, everything will just pile up. Spend your time investing in the applications for a day or two and learn them well to your advantage.
