You can be, do, or have anything you want. Whether you want peace and seclusion, or fortune and fame, you can have it - if you know how to get it. The good news is that there are only two simple things you need to know. The bad news is that, no matter how simple, this wisdom will continue to elude most people. "The sick and the poor," they say, "will always be among us." But, if you can understand these two things, you don't have to be among the sick and the poor - unless you want to be.

How simple can it be? "As a man thinketh, so it is done unto him." In case you don't recognize it, this is one of the teachings attributed to Jesus; but it is also in the Jewish Old Testament. In fact, Buddha is quoted as saying, "Man is the product of his thoughts;" and the Hindu sage Gandhi said, "Man often becomes what he thinks himself to be." Great teachers, healers, heads of state, inventors, and innovators have always agreed with the words of Henry Ford: "If you think you can, or think you can't, you're right either way." Or, perhaps you prefer the words attributed to Jesus: "According to your beliefs it is done unto you."

The First Rule to getting what you want is that you must THINK about it; and, you must thing about it in a certain way. You must imagine your desire as if it were real; fill-in as many details as possible. Imagine how grateful you will be, and how excited you will feel, when you are experiencing the reality of your desire. Form a firm mental image of your desire; make a detailed plan. Remember when you were a child; and make-believe - pretend you are experiencing your dream. When you have imagined and thought about this desire until it feels real to you, relax - and revisit your dream every once in a while.

The Second Rule to getting what you want - now that you really know what it is you want - is to become an "Attractive" person. I don't mea
"pretty," or "beautiful;" I mean you must do things that attract positive energy in your direction. You must become a "magnet." Relax; and follow your inspirations - they'll lead you to your dream. Do whatever you must to keep yourself in a positive attitude - one of peace, grace, gratitude, and appreciation. Be kind and helpful; be generous and patient. You never know where your answer could come from; but, if you stay in a positive, open state of mind and emotion, you'll be more receptive to your answer when it arrives, and more alert for possibilities and surprises.

You can do as much of the "real work" as you want to; and, if it is truly inspired - if you are doing the right thing - it will be satisfying and rewarding, if not a joy. But whether you "do-it-yourself," or work with the infinitely generous Universe, you still need to follow these two basic rules:

1.) Think clearly about what you want; and,

2.) Generate a positive emotional state to attract favorable conditions into your life.

If you can do these two things, you can be, do, or have anything you desire. If you are tempted to say, "That's pie-in-the-sky thinking," or "That's not true," you are not in the appropriate state for attracting your heart's desire. You may indeed acquire this thing, or that thing; but you won't find the peace and joy you are truly seeking until you learn to clarify your thoughts around what you want, and maintain a positive emotional state.
