Are you experiencing fertility complications? Infertility was a well of unknown numerous generations ago, but the improvement in medical science has offered great insights and infertiliy options to many.
Fertility drugs are the most prevalent type of infertility option being used. Different prescriptions serve different purposes but the most common one is to stimulate egg release in females. Its possible you have heard of the drugs Clomiphene and Gonadotoprin. Although more common in treating female infertility, these drugs has been used to treat some types of male infertility too. In men, Clomid boosts the release of more testosterone and sperms. On the other hand human chorionic gonadotoprin is injected to the testes directly two times or 3 times per week to produce testosterone. For males, treatment may last for 6 months.
Another infertility option is articifical insemination. This calls for a procedure of injecting sperms into the woman's reproductive tract. There is two different ways to carry out this procedure. In the first method which is called intra-cervical insemination, sperms are injected into the women's genitals. 2nd method is the intrauterine insemination in which the sperm is inserted into the uterus.
Surgery is also another method to help remedy infertility. If the fallopian tubes are blocked, or a lady has endometriosis or cysts, surgery is needed. The most popular is the laparoscropic surgical procedure. Both men and women benefit from surgical infertility option. For women, this surgery is carried out by inserting a very small instrument through a small cut in the abdomen and removing whatever is wrong or blocking in the fallopian tube. Surgical procedures are employed to correct men with blocked tubes which carries sperms from the testes to the penis. Besides certain issues with anesthetic and also swelling, the potential risks from this surgery are minimal.
Assisted Reproductive Technology is the next infertility option to be discussed. Assisted reproductive technology has to be carried out under very stringent healthcare guidelines and conditions. The eggs and sperms are joined in clinical environment before being introduced into the women's body. This treatment has a variety of approaches - natural cycle IVF, low-stimulation, gamete intrafallopian transfer, and zygote intrafallopian transfer.
There are various other types of assisted reproductive technology and some are marked by controversy such as the use of donor eggs or surrogate parents. Even though becoming a common idea, there are still a lot of ethical issues about it method. On top of these, there is also the health and legal significance for the foster parents, natural parents plus the new born baby.
But then whatever infertility option a couple choose, they must first educate themselves as to what advantages as well as disadvantages that specific approach would bring. In any case, information is power.
