Jaipur is considered by many urbanites to be one of the best planned cities. In an era when most of the Rajputs were busy fighting with each other, Jaipur's kings diplomatically broadened their control sphere maintaining good relations with the Mughals.Jaipur has a number of forts and monuments like Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Jal Mahal, Rambagh Palace, Central Museum, (Albert Hall Museum).There are many types of Palace in jaipur like as -

The City Palace -In the heart of the city is situated the City Palace, a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The City Palace is marked by projecting balconies, arches on slender pillars, and ornate entrances. There is a huge paved courtyard flanked by apartments from three sides. The place is now a museum except for one section where the erstwhile royal family still lives.

Jal Mahal - The Jal Mahal Palace in Jaipur is noted for its interesting architecture. The Palace has grown up as a pleasure spot. It was used for the royal duck shooting parties.Jal Mahal (meaning "Water Palace") is a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. Surrounded by Nahargarh Hills, Jal Mahal is known for its majestic architecture and sophisticated design. The lake eco system is a favorite home of a number of migratory and resident birds. The Mansagar Dam is situated on the eastern side of the lake and provides a good vantage point for viewing the lake and the valley.

Jantar Mantar - Jantar Mantar, the 'Yantralaya' of Sawai Jai Singh II, the great astronomer King of India, is based at the entrance to the City Palace. This modernistic structures known as 'Yantras' are the unique inventions designed by the astronomer-king and built by experts to observe the movements of the astronomical bodies - sun, moon, planets and the stars.etween 1727 and 1734 Maharajah Jai Singh II of Jaipur constructed five astronomical observatories in west central India. The observatories, or "Jantar Mantars" as they are commonly known, incorporate multiple buildings of unique form, each with a specialized function for astronomical measurement.

Hawa Mahal - Hawa Mahal stands upright as the entrance to the City Palace, Jaipur. An important landmark in the city, Hawa Mahal is an epitome of the Rajputana architecture. The splendid five-storey “Palace of the Winds” is a blend of beauty and splendor much close to Rajasthan’s culture. Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh built Hawa Mahal in 1779.Palace of winds, also called “specimen of the fanciful architecture” is located on the intersection of Badi Chaupad, and south of the city. The sun gives brings out the original color of the monument facing the eastern side of the royal city gates. Its top three stories are just a single room thick but at the base are two courtyards. It is a fifty-foot high thin shield, less than a foot in thickness, but has over 900 niches and a mass of semi-octagonal bays, carved sandstone grills, finials and domes, which give this palace its unique facade.

Chandra Mahal, (home to present Maharajah of Jaipur), Mubarak Mahal (housing a textile museum), Diwan-e-Khas (or Hall of Private audience housing the two largest silver vessels in the world, which are duly mentioned in the Guinness book), the Diwan-e-Aam ( or Hall of Public Audience) and the gateway Ridhi Sidhi Pol.

Jaipur is the largest city in Rajasthan and was built in the eighteenth century by Sawai Jai Singh as India's first planned city. Jaipur is a major tourist attraction amongst Indian as well as international travellers.Jaipur is often called the Pink City in reference to its distinctly colored buildings, which were originally painted this color to imitate the red sandstone architecture of Mughal cities.
