Only accredited and registered training centers may offer CISRS courses on scaffolding and safety trainings as these are industry recognized courses that handle health and safety issues at the workplace. Hence, the service providers of such safety training courses must have the right facilitators who are well qualified with the necessary experience besides having the right learning set up before being allowed to conduct any CISRS scaffolding courses.

Course objective

CISRS scaffolding courses are very clear in their objectives; Part 1 offers a general view of scaffolding with practical sessions to equip the learners on the various types of independent scaffolds and related equipment.

The Part 1 CISRS Scaffold safety training course also can incorporate a 2-day Scaffold Inspection Training course while Part 2 CISRS Scaffold safety training course would allow the graduates from Part 1 to take on more scaffolding knowledge, application and inspection skills along with a 2-day System Scaffold Product identification training as there are many types of scaffolds that are currently used in the market.

Course preference

The CISRS is known as Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme; it is a highly recognized scaffolding safety training program in the construction and tower industry for the past three decades.

The CISRS courses Part1 and Part 2 are currently the world’s preferred scaffolding qualification. Many large organizations such as NASC, CSCS, HSE, T&G, UKCG and UCATT and large global scaffold manufacturers preferred those with CISRS certifications to handle their scaffolding jobs.

These certifications are included in the CISRS course costs and awarded by NASA (National Access Skills Academy) upon the successful completion of the courses with full payment made.

Course Availability

Not every safety training provider can offer the CISRS course; these CISRS courses are only available at accredited training centers that have the proper environment such as physical erection of proper scaffold structures, training rooms and actual properties or components such as high rise, double storey houses and towers.
A proper accreditation is required of any safety training centre that wants to offer these CISRS courses. A high investment is expected from training centers that wish to be CISRS accredited. Hence, these ambitious safety training centers must have a sufficiently large space to set up the proper environment to conduct the desired CISRS courses.

The successful completion of any CISRS course would entitle the graduate the prestigious CISRS card or certificate. Part 2 can only be taken with at least 6 months of scaffolding experience with a Part 1 certification.
