UGC NET 2021 Preparation: Last Minute Tips to prepare for UGC NET Exam

I have got many questions regarding the preparation strategy for UGC net exam as well as in the comments right like how to prepare for using the net exam. How much time we should devote?? can we crack the exam without coaching?? means only with self-study or in a day how many hours we should study to crack the net exam right so I'm going to answer these questions in this video like how to prepare for UGC net exam this is specifically for Commerce & Management students. So, yes you can crack the net exam with self-study only without any coaching. Right now, in a day how many hours you should study or to crack this exam see it depends. how many months do you have to prepare? Like, if you have supposed only two months or one month or if you have five to six months it depends on that time right. I am just going to tell you how to prepare for using net exam according to that you can decide like how much time you have to devote to prepare each day to prepare for this exam because there are categories of people who are preparing for net exam. What maybe you are doing your post-graduation right in final year of your post graduation you have just recently done your post graduation or maybe you are in job maybe in teaching jobs in some other job right or maybe you are a dropout you haven't touched these subjects Commerce or Management may be from since last two three years or five years and now we are going to prepare so according to that you have to take time like suppose if you are in your post graduation you are still studying in that case obviously you have gone through all the subjects you are still studying so you will take less time to prepare right or in case if you are in teaching job in that case also you are you will take less time to prepare for this exam because you are already teaching those subjects you have the experience right if you have drop out you haven't touched the subjects since you know last two three years five years in that case obviously you need more time So, according to that you have to decide how much time you require it's not like that generally I would say eight hours or three hours or one month time two months time or six months time or one-year time generally I can't say this thing it depends on person to the person actually but obviously you are appearing for this exam so you must have done your post-graduation or you are in your post-graduation so you have gone through the core commerce & management subjects in your post graduations and you are in your M.com so generally it takes four to five months to prepare for this exam just by devoting eight hours per day right seven to eight hours per day or maybe someone can prepare in last two months by devoting more hours maybe you are smart enough and you can prepare in last two months also in that case also you can crack this exam it's not a big deal it's not like that you cannot prepare in two months you need at least four to five months.

How to Prepare for UGC NET Exam (Steps):

If there’s any mantra to efficiently study for the UGC NET Exam or if you are looking for the right ‘UGC NET Preparation Tips’, then you might want to sift through the steps that I have written down below.

There are 7 steps for you to follow to know that you’re on the right path of studying for the exam.

Step 1: Thoroughly go through the UGC NET Exam syllabus and exam patte . That way you’ll know the topics to study and the weightage of each topic.

Step 2: Take mock tests of Paper 1 & Paper 2 and identify your strong & weak areas to efficiently utilise the given time. Consider a score of less than 40% as weak.

Step 3: Divide the subjects into two parts- strong & weak sections. Be honest with yourself.

Step 4: The entire UGC NET preparation is divided into 13 weeks (as shared in the preparation strategy pdf above). You have to pick up only 2 subjects at a time, 1 from Paper-1 and 1 from Paper-2.

Start with your strong subjects, since there are no sectional cut-offs, covering your strengths would save time and boost your Morale.

Step 5: Then work on strengthening your weak areas by referring to the best books for UGC NET, and solving as many previous year question papers as possible.

Step 6: For Current Affairs, which are asked in the topics of Paper 1 from People & Environment, ICT & Higher Education, I will be covering all of them in my sessions. However, it is always a good idea to read newspapers anyhow.

The 2021 UGC NET Exam is scheduled to be conducted from 06 to 08 October 2021 & 17 to 19 October 2021.
