SonoPhotodynamic Therapy Cancer Treatment (SPDT) as applied at the Indiana Center for Advanced Medicine (ICAM) has minimal to no side effects and is a body-friendly, non-toxic protocol, often providing immediate symptomatic relief. ICAM is the only Clinic in the USA to provide this uniquely efficacious therapy which has been widely accepted in other countries such as Australia, Russia, China and the UK for approx three decades. Applying specific frequencies of near infra-red and infra red Light together with Ultra Sound and combined with a non toxic Chlorophyll sensitizer, SPDT kills cancer cells and tumors. A search for Photodynamic Therapy will yield over 130,000 medically researched documents, clinical trials and observations by the pioneers in this field.
Patients may experience reduced pain/nausea as well as improvement in appetite during and post treatment. The treatment process is health enhancing and not detrimental to the patients health. Side effects are only due to cancer breakdown – the more cancer, the more side effects however these are very easily managed without the use of pharmaceutical drugs.
A slight tingling of the skin & a mild feeling of fatigue are possible but not always present. If these side effects appear, they may be uncomfortable however they are very mild as compared to those experienced in other forms of treatment. SPDT has shown no evidence of long term damage. Even if cancer recurs, SPDT may be repeated as many times as required and still have full effect; unlike common treatments which may only be applied for a specific duration of time. There is no risk of disfigurement. SPDT is non-invasive.
The treatment kills cancer cells, one by one in a layering manner; therefore, this treatment may take a while. ICAM applies the therapy daily; initially over a two week period, and then depending on patient need, we assess as to whether or not the patient is advised to continue treatment at our Clinic for a further 2-4 weeks or whether the patient is prescribed a home treatment program.
