Understand Duplicate Content and Get Success in Social Bookmarking!
Understand duplicate content is one and the only one way to get success in social bookmarking!!
Why do I say this?
Before I jump into the details, let me tell you... you can't do social bookmarking until you understand duplicate content!!
99% people online never have anything explained to them crystal clear step by step, that's why majority are struggling. Now let me explain to you.
Most people think: if they create an article for their website, they then can't use the same article somewhere else online examples blog and article directories. Most think they can't use the same content twice.
This is absolutely not true!!
Many think Google will only show one result of the same piece of content.
For example, let's get an article, copy parts of the text (around 300 words) and conduct the search in Google with quotation marks (""). You will get lots of results that exactly matching the 300 words!!
Here's the little secret for you: when you conduct a search at Google WITH the quotes - you get results that only include pages that contain your EXACT keyword phrase.
The point of the example is: the exact article is appearing in all the site, with the exact wording!!
You see, Google haven't penalize any of them! Google haven't not allowed any of this site to appear online and Google not only showing that story once!
Google not penalize any of this site despite in fact they are all identical, all showing the same content. So there is tons of duplicate content out there. This is being hugely misunderstood online and 99% suffer because they don't know what is considered duplicate content.
In sum, same article appear in different site is not duplicate content.
Now get this: duplicate content is when you have the same content on the same website (on a different page).
People tends to use duplicate content to fool Google, try to make their site look bigger. They might change the content a little bit but this is not allowed. Same article in same website is not allowed!
Let's imagine you have conduct key research and create your article. So the article is on your website now. For example, the URL will be " www. your domain name/your article".
Then you give the same article to Ezine Articles for example, this will appear online as " www.EzineArticles.com/ your article". Even if the article is identical, it still appear in Google Search Engine Result Page (SERP) because that's not duplicate content. Because that's on different domain name!
Same thing happen if you submit your same article to a blog, it will appear online in SERP as " www. address of the person blog/your article". It's the identical article in different domain name.
So remember: the same article can appear on many different website.
To prove this point even further, Article directories for example, a pretty much nothing but duplicate content. Most of the article originally appear on someone else blog or site, then being upload in article directories. But Google didn't penalize them.
I know at first it takes a few moments to understand the definition of duplicate content. Once you are clear, you can tackle social bookmarking easily and beat your competitors.
