Work makes us feel exhausted, tired and depleted of the energy. Rest and healthy meal invigorate us and prepare our body for the next round. Sometimes we feel so depleted that even long spell of rest is unable to make us stand again. This stage is called adrenal fatigue syndrome fatigue attacks nothing could help. You feel worn-out for no explainable reason, crave for salty or sweet snacks, often feel overwhelmed and run down and have difficulty rising in the morning. In the course of time, you will become more susceptible to flues and colds.
There are a number of reasons behind people falling prey to this deadly fatigue. Ageing is the primary cause but if a young gets fatigue then it is not because of ageing but modern lifestyle. We work day and night, take little rest and eat almost nothing. Our body is like a machine which requires proper rest and fuel. It can’t work after a certain level and that level is called adrenal fatigue syndrome. It sounds like a clinical name but actually it is boundary line between health and disease. When suffering from fatigue, one needs more than medical care.
Treatment for fatigue is readily available but it is a time taking process. One can’t expect overnight recovery; there will be some improvement though. Treatment starts with supplements that are actually energy tablets. Herbal remedies like Ashwagandha, Skullcap and Ginseng also provide great help in overcoming the fatigue. Health supplements and herbal remedies should be used regularly to show some results. It’s good if you could take them for a longer period.
When fighting with fatigue, one need to change his entire food habit, work culture and rest time. Fatigue affects every aspect of life – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The problem is related to our lifestyle where there is no place for food and rest. When hungry, people eat junk food, fast food and whatever is easily available. They only bother about filling the stomach and not the cells in the body. Today rest is taken as a lazy man’s job which is a dangerous assumption. We all need rest at least after every 16 hours. Doctors maintain that a healthy man sleeps 10 hours a day.
Adrenal fatigue syndrome can attack any moment at any age. We all are vulnerable to this fatigue and the only way left is to follow a healthy diet, take supplements and rest properly.
