Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder mostly seen in people who are conscious about their body weight and image. If it is not treated on time, it can be fatal. Bulimic symptoms include consuming large amounts of foods often. Since they are over concerned about their weight, they indulge in purging immediately to get rid of the foods. They use various methods like vomiting and laxatives to get the food out of their system. If a person with bulimia is not treated on time it can lead to various health problems like anxiety disorder, depression, kidney damage, heart damage, dental damage and damage to some parts of the digestive system. When you notice the symptoms it is better to provide immediate bulimic cure to help the person lead a normal life.

Bulimic symptoms

This eating disorder usually begins during the teen years. Though it is the women who are mostly affected by it, men are also a victim of this disease. A person who is suffering from this disorder will not be able to control himself or herself from bingeing and purging. After the episodes of bingeing and purging, they feel guilty about them too. Due to this they become very secretive and hide their problems from others. The symptoms of the disorder are as follows.

They have an obsessive preoccupation with different types of foods. They are overly concerned with their weight and image. In a short period of time, they indulge in bingeing and purging. Such behavior can be seen at least 2-3 times a week. People suffering from the disorder may indulge in excessive exercising and fasting.

Warning signals

Persons with cure bulimia nervosa usually have secretive behavior. But they may exhibit some warning signals of the disorder. They experience abdominal pain and bloating, constipation, irregular menstrual cycle, swollen 'chipmunk cheeks', overall weakness, dental decay and erosion, swelling, scabs and calluses on the back of their hands, and swollen salivary glands.

Cure bulimia

When you feel that a person is suffering from bulimia nervosa, you have to seek the assistance of a physician. He will be able to diagnose the person and provide appropriate treatment. The treatment provided is usually based on the individual needs. It includes cognitive-behavioral therapy. After receiving the treatment, the person will be able to perform his day to day activities well and lead a normal life. With the treatment and support from your friends and family, you will be able to get rid of the disorder quickly.
