According to various researches, it has been identified that Celexa is no longer recommended by FDA. Also, it has been said that patients who are already taking Celexa should stop its usage but they should not do it without talking to a health care professional. Celexa is an antidepressant drug that is known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors which works by increasing the quantity of serotonin in the brain. In some recent researches, it has also been proved that the drug can be very risky and can cause birth defects.
