It took ten minutes to realize he was not talking about me. rnSell yourself, don't rely on the recruiter to buy without some help.rnSome employers don't understand the value of being a consultant. I had to stress my broad experience, ability to work with different people and produce results. rnTell the employer enough to hire you but not too much so they reject you.rnA good sales person stresses all the benefits and does not bring up the downside - "It's a great car but it gets bad mileage". So don't mention you don't have an MBA unless it comes up. rnMake sure you know what the interviewer wants before you make assumptions.rnI interviewed for a job where I assumed that a key strength was working through layers of management.
