Gynecological diseases, including adenomyosis, are increasingly affecting women's physical and mental well-being. Adenomyosis has become more prevalent, and timely treatment and care are essential for patients with this condition. Exercise, in particular, offers numerous advantages for individuals with adenomyosis, aiding their recovery and overall well-being. 1. Strengthening the Immune System: Exercise is known to strengthen the body and improve overall physical fitness. It promotes blood circulation throughout the body, enhancing immune function. By boosting immunity, exercise helps prevent complications and supports the recovery process in adenomyosis patients. Therefore, patients should incorporate regular physical activity into their daily lives. 2. Mental Relief: Patients with adenomyosis often experience physical pain, leading to emotional distress and a low mood. Prolonged negative emotions can hinder the treatment process. Exercise is an effective means to shift attention and alleviate mental stress, benefiting the overall treatment of the disease and promoting faster recovery to normalcy. 3. Pain Alleviation: Adenomyosis causes diffuse lesions in the local area of the uterus, leading to significant physical discomfort and pain for patients. Proper exercise can accelerate local blood circulation in the uterus, alleviating the pain associated with adenomyosis. While exercise offers multiple benefits for adenomyosis patients, choosing appropriate forms of exercise and avoiding vigorous activities is crucial. Engaging in intense physical activities may fail to promote recovery, exacerbate pain, and adversely affect physical health. During menstruation, vigorous exercise should be avoided to prevent the backflow of menstrual blood into the pelvic cavity. This backflow may result in endometrial fragments implanting on other organs, leading to complications like endometriosis or exacerbating uterine adenomyosis lesions, negatively impacting women's health. So, what constitutes vigorous exercise? For individuals who were previously inactive or had anemia due to adenomyosis, exercises with a heart rate above 100 beats per minute or exceeding 140 beats per minute, heavy sweating, heavy breathing, fatigue, and slow recovery are considered vigorous. Additionally, explosive strength exercises that exert significant pressure on the abdomen should be avoided. Patients with adenomyosis should refrain from vigorous exercises such as sprinting, basketball, football, and other high-intensity activities. These exercises can worsen dysmenorrhea and uterine bleeding symptoms in patients with adenomyosis, potentially aggravating the condition and making treatment more challenging. Patients need to avoid such exercises in their daily routines. Exercise is supportive in treating adenomyosis but is not sufficient as the sole solution. Adenomyosis is a complex disease influenced by hormone levels and genetic factors. Its primary clinical manifestation is dysmenorrhea, which can worsen over time. Some patients require strong pain medication during their menstrual period, which can affect fertility. While exercise can help manage symptoms, severe cases of adenomyosis require comprehensive treatment. Western medicine often employs hormone therapy, while traditional Chinese medicine offers holistic approaches to diagnose the patient's condition and provide effective solutions. Herbal medicine, such as Fuyan Pill, can help alleviate symptoms and treat adenomyosis without causing harm to the body even with long-term use.
