UPSC, UPPSC, BPSC, MPPSC - some important information

The Union Public Service Commission or UPSC has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India and is entrusted with the responsibility of recruitment to services and posts under the Union Government through competitive examinations. But the major role that is played by the UPSC is to select right candidates to man the different civil services as positions for the central government as well as personals for civil services common to the central and the state. The United Public Service Commission can make its recruitments by three methods that is direct recruitment, promotions and transfers. All the Direct Recruitment made by the UPSC is conducted under two methods viz. Recruitment by Competitive Exams and recruitment by selection through interview. Over a dozen examinations on an all India basis is conducted every year and includes services and posts in various fields like civil Services, Engineering, Medical and Forests services, foreign services and Military services etc. rnThe UPPSC or Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is responsible for recruiting candidates for various services in the state. Regulated by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Regulation 1976 the UPPSC is recruits candidates through various procedures, like, on the basis of interview only, by screening test as well as interview, only examination, examination and interview and also on the basis of preliminary examination, main examination and interview. The UPPSC consists of a chairman and nine members that include a secretary and all of them are appointed by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh in accordance with the Articles 316-319 of the constitution of India. The Bihar Public Service Commission or BPSC was established in the year 1949 and is responsible for conducting recruitment tests for filling up the vacant positions in various jobs related to the Bihar Government. The entire process of BPSC involves the assignment of functionaries in the Bihar Administrative Service, Bihar Vidhan Sabha, Patna High Court and Bihar Vidhan Parishad, along with department of commercial taxes, energy, tourism, finance and many others. Every year the BPSC conducts a number of examinations for filling up these positions and name of the successful candidates are generally published through their website. The MPPSC or Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts competitive examinations and interviews for the selection of personals to serve the Madhya Pradesh Government. Recruitment to different positions in nearly all the state ministries and departments is the primary responsibility of the MPPSC though the commission has to advice the government on the promotion and transfer of different employees too. Like every other state public service commission of the country the MPPSC also conducts a number of state level competitive exams throughout the year.
